Remote Proc Trans	The remote proc trans option helps protect the actions of a server-to-server procedure through a Microsoft Distributed Transaction Coordinator (MS DTC) transaction	Run the following sql statement: `exec sp_configure 'remote proc trans', 1`
Microsoft Distributed Transactions Coordinator (MS DTC)	MS DTC is responsible for coordinating transactions that span multiple resource managers, such as databases, message queues, and file systems	Connect to the SQL server using Remote Desktop. Open the Component Services management tool. Expand the “My Computer Tree” and under “Distributed Transaction Coordinator” locate “Local DTC” Edit the Local DTC properties and make sure under the “Security” tab the following setting apply. Network DTC Access: Checked Allow Inbound: Checked Allow Outbound: Checked No Authentication Required: Selected Leave all other setting to default values.
Linked Servers	Required if more than one SQL servers are used for the project databases	Each SQL server must have all other SQL servers configured as Linked Servers. To create a Linked Server follow the steps below. Open the SQL Management Studio and Connect to the SQL Server. Navigate to “Server Objects” -> “Linked Servers” Initiate the New Linked Server wizard Under the “General Tab” type the server name and select “SQL Server” (Use the listener if the SQL server is a member of an availability group) Under the “Security Tab” select “be made using the login’s current security content” Under the “Server Options” tab make sure the following settings apply: RPC: True RPC Out: True Enable Promotion of DT: False
SQL Logins	Allow access to all Hermes Applications	Three types of SQL logins are required. Username and Password for this users must be identical for all SQL servers in the solution. Hermes User: Used to create and modify Database Models. This user must have the sysadmin server role on all SQL Servers. Primary Teams User: Teams application user.< Secondary Teams User: Teams application user that can also view masked field content.

Always On High availability	Always On availability groups maximizes the availability of a set of user databases for an enterprise. An availability group supports a failover environment for a discrete set of user databases, known as availability databases, that fail over together	All “SQL Server Mandatory Features” must be applied before adding any database to the availability group. Additionally the following extra actions are required. A network share must be created that is accessible by all SQL servers in the DAG. All SQL Server jobs must be copied to all DAG Members
